Panic and Anxiety
Everyone is unique. We all have distinctive personalities, relationships, occupations, hopes, dreams — and problems. It is my belief the most effective way to resolve your problems is by implementing solutions you have discovered on your own. The relationship you and I develop will be crucial in creating a positive and successful experience and I feel strongly will be imperative to helping you to resolve difficulties. Trust, respect, empathy, and understanding are the elements I will provide to create a safe and supportive atmosphere. I will hold your concerns in the strictest confidence, allowing you to make the changes necessary to achieve your goals.
Over-Coming Panic Attacks/Anxiety
Anxiety, worry, and stress are all a part of most people's life today. But simply experiencing anxiety or stress in and of itself does not mean you need to get professional help. In fact, anxiety is a necessary warning signal of a dangerous or difficult situation. Anxiety becomes a problem when the symptoms begin to interfere with our daily lives and our ability to function.
Learning relaxation techniques and engaging in a healthy lifestyle of a good diet and plenty of exercise is ideal for everyone and in particular for someone struggling with anxiety. However, this alone may not be all that is needed to resolve panic/anxiety for good.
I have found two of the most important aspects of the work I do to assist people in successfully decreasing or eliminating panic/anxiety are;
1) Learning to understand and change the faulty thinking that is fueling the anxiety.
2) Discovering and understanding the source of internal conflict fueling the panic/anxiety.
